Today in India and globally, with the advent of transplant medicine and chemotherapy, there has also been a significant increase in antibiotic resistance with new, complex and re-emerging infectious diseases on the rise. In the era of super-specialization, a number of qualified specialists are available in various disciplines of medicine but in  Infectious Diseases  which is one such specialized area of medicine  there are only a few formally trained, board certified and experienced Infectious Diseases physicians available in India, as compared to the west.

 He is board certified by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi (FNB) in Infectious Diseases (ID).

He is extensively devoted  and dedicated in diagnosing, managing and treating infectious diseases and continually studies the latest treatments and new diseases affecting the globe. With more than a decade of experience in the field of medicine, he  is currently working at Apollo Hospital Navi Mumbai

He has completed his MBBS from Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of hospitals and subsequently has done post-graduation in medicine (DNB) followed by super-specialization in  Infectious Diseases (FNB) with  formal training in ID for 2 years at the prestigious Apollo hospital, Chennai under internationally recognized Infectious Diseases consultants. He was also a lecturer at BYL Nair hospital and TN Medical college, Mumbai.

He has been awarded the prestigious “International Infectious Diseases fellow in United States and has also been trained at famous Wayne State University, Detroit, USA. He has also received fellowship by Royal School of Public health, UK

Having being trained to treat complex variety of infections over an extensive training period nationally and internationally is evident from the fact that he has more than 25 national and international indexed publications to his credit
